Our Doors for Our Place

When CS FOR DOORS was approached to help out with design options in the TV series “Our Place”, the initial brief was for design advice on a cavity slider. Geoff Burton, the show designer was encouraged to come and visit the Auckland showroom to see what else was on offer.

Geoff was blown away by the complete range available from CS FOR DOORS, so much so that the whole design of the fit-out was changed to accommodate four different CS door systems.

In consultation with architect Richard, the framing was altered slightly from the initial design to allow for the inclusion of a triple stacker door set to hide away the kitchenette, a hinged door set to the storage bay and a surface wall slider as a main entry door to the work space - all in addition to the original spec’d cavity slider! A full site measure by a CS representative ensured accuracy of detail and provided important consultation with the builder installing the product.

The client was over the moon with the end result - she now has a professional space to show clients her work and consult from. The NewYorker door leaves provide a modern feel, while the opal laminate safety glass ensures privacy when needed.
In addition to modern aesthetics, the NewYorker door leaf requires minimal maintenance. The glass and aluminium finish are very easy to clean and maintain. This has been a fantastic result for the client. In all cases her brief has been exceeded. CS FOR DOORS provided expertise, advice when needed and supplied high quality product on time to the tight schedule that television is always happy to provide!
